Fire Report from Western Oregon – 9/9/2020
As I write this, there are a number of wildfires in Western Oregon, particularly in the Porltand/Salem area and east of those areas. Wildfires are a typical part of Oregon summer and early fall, but these fires have been aggravated by strong winds coming out of Canada. I took the following pictures at 9:00am Wednesday 9/9/2020, it is pretty eerie outside. The winds have died down, but the smell of smoke is strong. The third picture shows ash collecting on one of our trees. No going for a walk today, that’s for sure!
