More on Twitter API death watch – saw this post by Ryan Barrett (developer of Bridgy federation tool)(check out Bridgy for Mastodon!) where he references a Twitter Community post that April 29th is the final date for original Twitter API support. Oops! Guess I misread that…. my app is still working, even if WordPress.com is not!

Twitter API still seems to work
Today is February 23, 2023. Twitter announced that they would discontinue free access to the Twitter API on February 9, but my apps powering my Twitter river of news and Portland Protests river of news are still working. Oh well – I will keep using the API as long as I can!
My daughter instructed me that I needed to have a photo for my meme to have a proper meme, so here goes….

While I was walking my dog this morning, I met some friends walking their dogs and had a nice chat, it reminded me of this post on dogwalking as community.
Act of random kindness: I thanked a Costco employee for her past suggestion that I buy flowers for my wife, her face lit up and she gave me a big hug!
Spent some quality time with a garbage disposal this afternoon, going to spend some quality time with a plumber tomorrow…ugh
Asimov Institute: Analyzing Six Deep Learning Tools for Music Generation – I think this is a neat area of research (post is a year old, so other things are probably around), but I would like to see tools to help human composers create new works as opposed to totally computer-generated works.
